May 28, 2013 · The trigger reset point on a standard P226 is nowhere near as good as a Glock 19 reset point. If you are trained on a Glock for the reset you will find the P226 difficult. Also, you will find the long double action pull of the P226 hard to manage without considerable training. Dec 15, 2019 · The Glock 44 should fit all the holsters for Glock 19 pistols, a distinct advantage. I have not seen any accuracy testing of the Glock 44. People are showing them fired offhand in videos.

Jun 20, 2017 · .50GI vs Hornady .50AE. Shooting this pistol is an absolute dream. Even though this .50 caliber pistol round is quite bigger than a .45ACP, it kicked just like a .45ACP 1911. The .50 GI (12.7x23mm Rebated Rim) pistol cartridge was developed by Vic Tibbets and Alex Zimmermann of Guncrafter Industries. The accuracy of this pistol is just amazing. 1911 Drop-in Trigger NEW! Apr 06, 2016 · The Fulcrum Trigger does live up to its reputation. It’s more precise than the stock FCG and has a much crisper, cleaner break. The pre-travel is still longer than I’d like but of course, it’s adjustable. The ZEV product is not going to be confused with a 1911 trigger but it’s light years better than the stock Glock.

We have studied the quality control & tolerances of the Glock® pistols and have built this frame to improve those standards. One example lies in the area of the CCF RaceFrame’s ® lock block vs the Glock® original lock block. Aug 24, 2010 · The trigger performs two tasks, both cocking the striker and releasing it. Therefore the Glock is a double action only handgun. The Glock trigger breaks at 5.5 pounds by specification. Trigger reset is rapid, on the par with a 1911. The Glock trigger requires concentration.
That said, between the 30 and a commander sized 1911 that is reliable , I'd take the 1911. You get 9 rnds v 11 in the Glock; not a huge difference. You get the slimmer, more comfortable profile. You get the significantly better trigger. Now, if you're talking those officer models with their teeny lil mags, I'd take the 30.

I'm sure you'll get a divide between the Glock 19 and the 1911. I personally have a Glock 19, and love it. I don't have either of the other two to compare, but I'm very satisfied with my Glock and its incredibly reliable, I'd call it the AK-47 of the pistol world.

While 1911s may be more mechanically accurate than a Glock of the same caliber, I seriously doubt any of us mere mortals would know the difference. With the proper application of shooting fundamentals , both a Glock 21 and a 1911 will shoot well for someone assuming the weapons ergonomically are the same. Thus the idea that a consumer grade 1911 is more accurate than a Glock or vice versa is bullpucky.

The main reasons being the rather crappy sights Glock’s include on their weapons. The SIG P365’s trigger is also smoother, which aids a little in the gun’s accuracy. Feb 06, 2020 · The first and only Glock I shot was a 10mm Glock 20 in the States a few years ago. Gen 4 and previous Glock pistols have finger grooves on the front of the grip housing. The VP9 does as well, though they are lower-profile than Glock's. -Trigger reset is a full release to reset unlike a real Glock where you can reset without a complete trigger extension. Every pull is a long double action pull whereas a Glock firearm has a short reset and can be fired single action after the first shot. "Practical accuracy, on the other hand may be less than some like the Glock, due in part to the small size and weight (which make it difficult for some to hold on to firmly), less than ideal sights, and mainly the long, revolver like DA trigger pull, which many find difficult to master. A single action (SA) trigger pull is clearly superior to a double action (DA) trigger in terms of practical accuracy. The lighter and shorter the movement of the trigger, the better. For an autoloader, where you have to balance the need of reliability and safety against that recoiling mass, I have found that a crisp SA pull weight of between 3 ...

Mar 22, 2014 · About what I expected. Consistent trigger pull and large capacity give Glock the edge in this sort of competition. Bit surprised about the accuracy being best from the Glock to be honest. Among the most widely debated Glock modifications is the trigger mechanism. Glock factory triggers are widely accepted for their reliability and safe function in an everyday carry or service weapon, and it’s completely reasonable for some people to refrain from tinkering with the standard 5.5-pound trigger.

Jul 18, 2013 · After the first shot the trigger pull drops to a more manageable 4.5 to 5 pounds. In either case, the trigger pull is lengthy. Remember, practicing doesn't always help your accuracy if you are making mistakes, it just reinforces mistakes.
The egos, trigger, pointability and accurancy on the XDm 10mm are superior to a standard G20in my use. My XDm 10mm has been 100% reliable with quality ammo and doesn't have the lead-bullet issue that the Glock rifling does. Real world use of both vs those that don't.
Jan 26, 2016 · I zealously adhered to this mantra when choosing my pocket gun, but that caused some conflict since my two most familiar firearms are the Glock 17 and the 1911. Further limiting my choices to a bare minimum caliber of 9mm Parabellum, I was left with two guns: the Sig Sauer P938 and the Glock 43.

Mar 30, 2018 · For me, the Glock wouldn't be considered because I don't like the trigger, it is huge and blocky, and probably not as accurate as a good 1911 (you mentioned target practice). The Glock won't shoot cast bullets unless you replace the barrel.

But a missed bad of the Glock is the trigger; it’s a little long and heavy and I have short-stroked it more than once, but both issues cured when using the right aftermarket connector. The bad of the 1911 is actually a good; one can shop until finding the right one.

"Mechanical Pistol accuracy 1911 vs glock" I must have read the word Mechanical differently than you. I won't go all physics here. No need, like you say. I'm not that smart anyway. Just responding to Dan's post. Key words: Mechanical . off the bench . Group size. shooters limitations. Striker fire triggers.
When the 1911 was made like the Glock, where all parts were interchangeable and basically drop-in, accuracy would have still gone to the superior trigger of the 1911. Now that most 1911's have some degree of fit to the bushing/barrel, the advantage has grown.
There is always this never-ending “1911 vs Glock argument.” The two guns are as different as night and day. It’s time to look at another popular debate. Which is better, the 1911 or the Sig P220? Right off the bat most gun advocates in the shooting crowd that are not die-hard 1911 users have recognize the Sig P220 taking the lead on this.
The Glock 48’s barrel is also slightly longer than the Glock 19 and believe it or not, this makes the gun legal in Canada. Specs in this P365 vs Glock 48 contest will ultimately be more important on an individual level. Sights. The Glock comes with standard Glock plastic ‘target’ sights.

I just got my first Glock on Sunday, a G43. I am a 1911 guy, have 4, CC a Kimber covert pro. I had a lot of trouble at first with the Glock trigger, I was all over the place. I kept trying to squeeze slower and steadier. I found that if I squeezed straight back, but with a bit more speed than I used on the Kimber I was dead on.

May 17, 2019 · As a Glock 43 owner, the first thing I noticed about the Glock 43X was the size difference. Looking at the two pistols side by side, they appear to have comparable dimensions, except that the G43X is slightly wider (G43 1.06″ vs. G43X 1.10″ Wide) and taller (G43 4.25″ vs.
I use my handgun to do at least 25 trigger pulls a day and I recommend you do the same. 25 trigger pulls will ingrain in your mind what a perfect trigger pull should feel like. If you were to take the weekends off and just do this Monday-Friday that would be 125 trigger pulls a week. Five-hundred a month. Six-thousand trigger pulls a year.
Jul 20, 2019 · The 1911 Government Model is slimmer than the Glock G41, but only has a 7+1 or 8+1 capacity (depending on manufacturer and user’s choice of magazines). Aug 28, 2019 · I tested a Glock 21S/F .45 ACP against a Kimber .45 1911 . Off the bench, both shot equally tight groups . The Glock has great intrinsic accuracy . The practical accuracy suffers from a creepy trigger, blocky grip frame and a grip angle that makes it point high naturally .
Accuracy – In my opinion, an average government model 1911 is likely to be more accurate than the best Glock. In addition to that, 1911’s can be tuned for greater accuracy whereas the Glock can’t be. Between a really outstanding match grade 1911 and a Glock there is no contest in terms of accuracy.
The Glock 34 has a longer barrel and is often used as a competition gun. It has a lighter 4.5 pound trigger as compared to the Glock 19 and 17s 5.5 pound trigger. What do u want it for? Most 1911s will probably weigh more due to it being a steel gun vs a polymer framed one like the glock.
